more labor needed
We hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! Fall is upon us and change is in the air. We are working on a few different programs and projects and although it is extremely exciting, it can be very daunting. So on this special Tuesday addition of the blog I want to touch on something a bit lighter; well, to us it is anyway. I couldn’t help but laugh at a campaign designed by Drake University.
Remember that Drake is a popular and relatively exclusive university in the Mid-West. Someone created a campaign that the university used to try to attract new students. I call it the D+ campaign….
You read that right; it is the D+ campaign. One would think that a university that caters to a pretty exclusive group of people and believes in academics would consider the fact that D+ campaign (meaning Drake plus… fill in the blank) would be something you would stay away from. It is no wonder we want to work more and more in the industry because so much of it is rubbish. I know if I was a parent or a student about to pay a lot of money to an institution I want a campaign that completely fails on every level.
What is even worse about this campaign aside from the fact that it is “D+” is that it looks like a fifth-grader designed it. One would think a university with so much money could design something of use. But the website alone should show you where they are in their design prowess.
You be the judge, what do you think of Drakes D+ campaign?
