Until someone invents a way to physically teleport (which probably isn’t that far off), the quickest, easiest, and most-cost effective travel method is through the world wide web.  Developers have worked hard to develop online tools that make virtual communication easy and effective if used appropriately.  If you are a sales person, or if your business is in the business of making money, then you need to be using Skype.  Skype is not a replacement tool for face-to-face communication or even telephone communication, but it is a great way to share information quickly and effectively with clients, customers, vendors, sponsors, etc.  It is also a wonderful tool to use when sharing presentations and when running meetings when group is at different locations. 

If you are not set up on Skype yet all you need to do is visit the Skype download page and follow the downloading instructions.  Once Skype is on your computer, open the program and you will be promoted to follow the set-up instructions.  After that, the virtual world is at your finger tips!  You can add contacts, start conference calls, video chat, screen share, send/share files, instant message, start public chats, and more all for free.  How use Skype to serve your business (and non-profit) needs is up to you, and I think you will find that having the ability to instantly connect with multiple people from multiple locations is both cost and time effective.
