The Freedom Riders

When you watch a film like The Freedom Riders, you can’t help but be inspired.  The men and women of The Freedom Riders movement were willing to accept death in order to right an injustice that began with the Jim Crow laws in 1890.

It is impossible for me, a young woman in the Pacific NW, to fathom segregation.  But racial apartheid in the south is a part of our national history, and something we should all learn from.
